The multi-cultural atmosphere and lively market stalls makes it an exciting place to be at the weekend. Quiet roads are at a premium in Lewisham centre and the roundabout by the train station does have a certain notoriety for “positive driving”! However there are some nursery slopes (slopes being the operative word) around the Lewisham Hill area, provided you avoid Granville Park, which is not for the faint-hearted! There are however plenty of quiet residential streets no more than a 5 minute drive away in Lee and Catford.
